“I have worked with Nortel (including BCM) and Avaya PSTN/PBX systems since 2001. Moving to SkyBlue’s hosted IP solution has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The features of the hosted IP system provides are absolutely amazing. My favorite features are not having an on-premise PBX, constant software and feature updates, the web-based management portal, the web-based user portal, voicemail to email, mobile apps and the elimination of long-distance charges. Moving a user to a new office is a piece of cake – the phone just goes with them and there is no extension change. Reprogramming a phone for a new user is just a few clicks and takes less than a minute. Compared to our former Nortel system, programming features such as speed dial, sidecars, automated attendants, etc., takes a lot less time.
The system has been in place in our district for 4 ½ years. The installation was done completely by SkyBlue with little to no work on my part. The installation was extremely quick and without error. From swapping out old for new handsets, programming, and user training was all done by SkyBlue. The system is extremely reliable and SkyBlue provides the redundancy for the hosted system that we could never provide as a district. Any time we have any issues, SkyBlue is extremely responsive for support and resolution. Typical response time is measured in minutes. I have been lucky to partner with CL Tel (SkyBlue’s parent company) for the past 14 years and have a high degree of confidence in the hosted IP phone system and CL Tel as a whole.”

The Clear Lake Police Department has been using a SkyBlue hosted phone system for two years. It replaced our outdated analog phones that had been in use for many years. Despite utilizing 911 for priority related incidents, we routinely receive emergency response calls on our administrative phone lines. This made it important that any phone system we evaluated and selected would integrate into our critical communications.
The functionality of the SkyBlue hosted phone system is fantastic. It is lightyears ahead of our old phones.
